The WSET level 2 Award in Wines is a qualification for beginners intended for those who want to learn more about wine in general. During the course you will gain knowledge about the most important and geographically, most important grape varieties in the world, the regions where they are grown and the styles of wine they produce.
Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence. After completing the training, you will receive WSET level 2 certification.

Course format:

- Home study : minimum 20 hours
Examination:

- Duration : 1h
- Format : 50 multiple-choice questions (in person)
- A mark of 55% minimum is required to pass.
Preparations
Study time
Before the start of the course, you as a student must be well prepared for the course.
Therefore, it’s important that you read the entire course material at least once and that you feel familiar with the content. We strongly advice you to study the course material befor the start of the course.
Expect WSET level 2 to require between 11 – 20 hours of self-study.
By preparing for the education, you get the best conditions for passing the examination that is done during the last day of the course.
The total study time for WSET level 2 is 36 hours
