The Wine Hub Team

Your team on the ground

Hi! We’re Marika, Barbara &  Alice, and we’ll help you reach your audience in Sweden.

A sommelier and entrepreneur with a strong passion for wine since an early age. Deeply committed to offering a comprehensive wine education that has so far been missing from the market.
Barbara is a senior communications & marketing consultant with both industry and agency experience. She is an Ex Procter & Gamble and has previously worked for marketing agency Sopexa in Germany, Sweden, and Norway. Having experience with international FMCG brands as well as numerous food and wine boards, Barbara develops export communication strategies, creates PR and media plans, sets up influencer collaborations and organizes tastings for importers, sommeliers, journalists and consumers.
Alice is a trained sommelier holding a WSET Level 3 certification. She has a bachelor's degree in communication and marketing from Stockholm University and has worked for Pernod Ricard during her studies. At The Wine Hub, Alice is responsible for marketing and communications as well as serving as a lecturer.

How we can help

At the beginning of our working relationship, we’ll assess your needs and create a bespoke marketing and communications strategy with matching activities that fit your individual budget.

Activities include events such as masterclasses and tastings of all sizes, both B2B and B2C. We’re really good at media and influencer collaborations, too, maximizing visibility for your wines.

Do you want to get your wines in front of Sweden’s top journalists? We organize press trips and press events for you. Or is it content creation and content marketing tools you need? That’s also something we can organize for you.

Understand the Swedish market

The Swedish market might seem complicated at first, due to its alcohol monopoly. But no worries, we’ll show you the way through the jungle. Here are some good-to-know facts about our market:

  • In Sweden, you can reach important players with much smaller efforts compared to larger countries.
  • Wine journalists have a very high standing with Swedish consumers.
  • Sweden has the biggest wine club in the world with nearly 30,000 members.

Pretty impressive, right? There are many interesting opportunities for you to reach the Swedes. Contact us and we’ll spill all the beans about our market.

Location

Where to find us?

We operate throughout Sweden, from Umeå in the far North to Malmö in the South, as well as in Gothenburg and Stockholm – our four most important cities for the wine trade.

We also offer communication activities in our neighbour country, Norway.

At The Wine Hub we have a large and up to date network including all your possible target groups: importers, journalists, sommeliers, sommelier students, monopoly staff, and wine loving consumers.

We’re pretty good at social media, too, and reach 90,000 contacts every month through Meta.
