About the course
The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is designed for those who want to move beyond general wine knowledge and gain a detailed understanding of viticulture, winemaking and wine evaluation.
This summer edition compresses the full syllabus into five intensive, consecutive days. Theory and tasting are closely integrated throughout — you will learn how production choices, climate and location interact to shape wine style and quality, and how to assess wines using a structured, professional framework. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines certification. The course is taught entirely in English.
Who should attend WSET Level 3 Summer Intensive?
Our summer intensive is for those who prefer to complete the full WSET Level 3 syllabus in one focused week rather than spread over several months — ideal if you’re short on time, prefer to study in an immersive format, or simply want to be done before autumn.
Because the course runs across five consecutive full days with the exam immediately following, this format demands significant preparation before the course begins — there is minimal time for independent study during the week itself.
The course is ideal for experienced wine enthusiasts seeking advanced knowledge, professionals working with wine in hospitality, retail or import, aspiring sommeliers and educators, and anyone with WSET Level 2 or equivalent knowledge.
This is a demanding and rewarding format, best suited to those who are motivated, well-organised, and able to commit to thorough pre-course reading — expect long, full days of theory and tasting with little downtime in between.
